Keep Neyland Clean: Orange and White Game
April 25, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Let’s make it the Orange, White, and GREEN Game! UT Recycling and the Office of Sustainability are excited to announce our ‘Keep Neyland Clean’ campaign for this special game in Earth Month. From clean energy to clean waste streams, ‘Keep Neyland Clean’ aims to reduce the environmental impact of gamedays at UT. The Orange and White Game will be the first Volunteer football game to be powered 100% by clean energy! And thanks to the Environmental Stewardship Fund, the entire 2015 season will be too! We will be hosting a Green Tailgate where you can learn more about Sustainability at UT as well as ways you can make your gamedays greener.
UT Recycling and the rest of UT’s Green Team are also excited to partner with Keep Knoxville Beautiful and Bojangles for the Orange and White game and 2015 season! The Green Team will work to educate fans about UT’s gameday zero waste efforts as well as engage in campus and stadium clean-ups during and after the game. Like regular season football games, all fans entering tailgating areas receive a blue recycling bag and a clear landfill bag. At the end of the day, just bring your bags to any of the 12 zero waste locations spread throughout the designated tailgating areas for your chance to be Caught Green Handed!

Volunteers help with educating fans, passing out bags, and keeping the campus and stadium clean. Volunteer sign ups will be posted on UT Recycling’s website in early April.
